Hey, I`ve just been reading http://www.lunnflutes.com/ho1.htm#alex this article on the Alexander technique for flautists. I already use this to eliminate any pain or discomfort felt when playing the flute(ie. pain in the hands/back/forearms/neck etc). It`s designed to control breathing and posture.
It`s a useful thing to learn if anyone`s interested. If not... well... this post is then just a figment of your imagination and you really should go and see someone before it starts getting serious.

Thanks for the website. I was just telling my mom yesterday that my hands are really starting to hurt me and ive only been playing for 7 years. Im going to look into buying an offset G flute and the website made me feel better about it not being a weakness in the flutist to get this option.
