Although I was sick for my auditions yesterday (Saturday) my teacher called me and told me that I got 1st chair in the honor band! And there were like 35 people that tried out and only 12 made it too. 
<Added>
and It was only my 2nd time using an open hole flute. I borrowed my cousin's flute, I'm not getting my open hole flute until Christmas.

It's always great to make a group (especially a great chair), but to do it when you're sick can be really difficult. Congrats!

I find playing the flute when I'm sick, especially if it's sinus or cold related, is one of the most difficult tasks to do. It takes more work than usual to sound good, and it drains me of the little energy I have... Ugg...
Congrats on your accomplishment especially when not feeling 100%
