Yep! It's the older model. Here's a photo of the logo on the 501 I had in February:

The newer stuff looks like this (pardon crappy picture):

but the in-between model (or the hand-made anyhow!) looked like this:

The Dolce I believe to be the newest flute, the hand-made Pearl (last link) was made in 1996 and I'm unsure of the date of manufacture for the 501 and the 665 Quantz. Also the last Pearl picture wasn't taken by me but was a flute I'd owned at one point.

The last picture you posted looks exactly like the Pearl logo on my old drum set.

Interesting! Where's Joe when we need him? My info may be slightly inaccurate but I THINK it's correct lol! Anyhow, now everyone can see the differences between the logos =)
