What are the benefits of belonging to the NFA? How much is it for a teacher? A student?

If you get an emembership, it's $55 and not $75. You get the quarterly magazine, borrowing priviledges from the NFA library, inside information, and access to the membership directory. Student membership is $35 or $30 for the emembership. But I don't think you could qualify for the student, I think you'd have to get the regular.

<Added>

I think there's a club rate or something too. I don't know, I just have the commerical membership

BENEFITS?! Try um... going to an NFA convention and playing millions of flutes (and billions of $ in flutes lol!). I'm thinking of going next year in NYC - WHO'S WITH ME?! =) My friend from England wants to go to *crosses fingers that works out* and we'd, OF COURSE, swing by the Dayton C. Miller flute museum on the way back down to FL =)

JFYI,
The Dayton C. Miller Flute collection in the D.C. Library of Congress isn't nearly as accessible as it used to be. You can't just pop in and peruse a bunch of flutes anymore there.

AHAHAHAHA! I totally forgot about that! Bad enough I called with my fake Swedish accent to ask about the vending machines was it?! THEN the guy acted like I was drunk! HELL I wake up like this! OH NO HE DIDN'T! lol I have the plus side of the fact that my aunt lives about 30-45mins from NYC (I went there a few times when I was living there up until last year) so maybe she'd like to doggy sit for me =)

I would definitely have to do some persuading with my other half. If I have the money, no problem but I KNOW he won't let me take the credit card this time. lololol!!
