hi all, I've been playing flute for four or so years and I bought a new flute a few months ago. I take very good care of my flute and I clean it after playing every time but once I missed a key when cleaning it and when I next took it out to play (about two days later) tiny pits had formed on the key, I now pay particular attention to that key when cleaning it but despite this the state of that key is getting worse. Does anyone know what I can do to stop it getting worse or if possible get rid of the pits all together?

From your post, I am assuming you mean that the damage is in the plating? Are these actual "pits", like corrosion, or wear? What brand of flute, if I may ask?
