I have it, but it there is a copy rite on it, so you will have to go out and buy it like the rest of us.

if i get the time, i`ll scan my copy for you. e-mail me a reminder. just a warning, mine has a crap-load of writing on it and half of it won`t make any sense to anyone but me i can`t help it, i like to draw on things it`s a really nice piece though

That is a pretty tough piece in spots. It always amazes me what High Schoolers are required to play now.

i think that they are assigning harder pieces now because there are more flute players and they want to rule out the good ones from the bad ones...just a guess?

I`m thinking about trying out for 2006 California State Honor Band. The convention and auditions already took place for 2005 honor band.

ah i see. the chaminade was 2005`s audition piece and the clinic was a couple weekends ago. i think they performed the stravinsky, dvorak no.9, strauss, and copland. it was a really good performance. we don`t have a whole lot of flute players who try out for all state. most of them do all district band (there was about 160 + flutes at that) but at states, the flute players are all really good. it must be harder for CA because there`s so many people..yes?

I recieved the piece in the mail from flute world a couple of days ago. I can play different parts of the song, but its preety difficult. Its really a gorgeous song. Its sounds so beautiful when you can play it right.

I HATE THAT PIECE!!! I have no idea why on earth it is so poplular???
