Curtis-- It is QUITE evident that you have some issues. Maybe you need a counselor or something? Or maybe, if you're lucky, just growing up may help you out. What's with all of the female hatred anyhow? What are you running from? Time to open the closet door now or what? It's cool and all though because many people are completely understanding of these types of things now. Do tell...

What's with all the rudeness toward females? I'm not one, but I don't appreciate racist and sexist comments like that.

counseling? I'm the one who needs counseling? I'm not the 22 year old flute repair woman on a trumpet forum frequented by high school kids.

In todays enlightened advance state of understanding that individuals are not always directly responsible for there own disabilities we generally do not make fun of or joke about peoples disabilities. If we do decide to joke about disabilities it should be done privately among individuals who know our motive behind the alledged and supposed humor.
Now, Helen Keller. What a wonderful human being. To accomplish what she did and to have her and her family go through the trials they did to benefit thousands and millions later in life.
Who said Helen couldn't play the trumpet? I would suspect that it is not that Helen could not play the trumpet but just didn't. She did do so many other things. I would also suspect that Annie Sullivan could have helped Helen Keller learn to buzz and feel the note vibrations on her bones and ulitmately taught Helen to play trumpet, if she choose to and if Annie knew how to paly trumpet; but I do not think Annie Sullivan played any wind instruments.
Just my 2 cents.

it was just because she was a woman.
thats it....
the joke goes.
why couldnt helen keller play the trumpet?
because she was a woman.
get it, because you would expect it to be because shes blind deaf and dumb, but instead its because shes a woman
do you think its funny now?
now that ive ruined the joke by explaining it.
if you dont find it funny, dont reply.

Even jokes need to make sense in their way, and this one has an illogical premise and a random punch line. Why should blindness prevent one from playing a trumpet? Why "a woman" in particular?
