Hello guys, I just joined the site and I need your help. In a month or so, I am going to buy a trumpet. I play the guitar, but I am a total beginner in trumpet. So, can you please help me by telling me which trumpet is good enough for a beginner in order to buy it?
To help, you I can afford a trumpet around 250 euros.
Thanks very much everyone.

(No responses, so I'm throwing in my non-trumpeting $0.02 worth)
The short answer is: you MUST get a player to try the prospective trumpets for you. There will typically be quality differences between apparently identical instruments.
You might get a good deal on a well-maintained 2nd-hand instrument but (imho) you'd be taking a huge risk in buying it over the internet.
Any point in hiring one first?

i would go to a local shop and ask someone who knows something about trumpets to come with you to help find a good (or at least good enough to learn on) trumpet. many local shops will also have a variety of used instruments (in other words, CHEAPER instruments; i really have no idea how much a euro is worth so ill just thro the cheaper thing out). if you re just looking for brand names, yamaha selmer and jupiter make good instruments....i have no clue if this applies to trumpets tho, as i dont actually play said instrument.
