I read some threads discussing about braces and teeth care. Now I'm thinking of which instrument mouthpiece when used, may cause a little sensitive front tooth to become worst?? The trumpet mpc. or the altosax/tenorsax mpc.?? Consider also the use of these instruemnts on marching??

thanks to all

If you have a front tooth that is overly sensitive I believe the saxophone will cause you more issues than the trumpet mouthpiece.

With the saxophone you are required to apply some pressure directly on the top of the mouthpiece with a small bite (although it doesn't have to be very hard). And you roll your bottom lip over your bottom teeth to bite against the reed from the bottom.

With trumpet you do not have any direct contact with your teeth, and if you play properly you shouldn't be using very much pressure at all. With a properly balance and developed embouchre your lips do all the work.
