percussion only has one peice too, i noticed. and its for triangle! bass clarinet will probly get more peices added for it as time goes on (trying to be optimistic here)
All clarinet music can be played on bass clarinet too =]
Although when I was playing for an orchestra this summer, they put my name under clarinets and put (bass) beside my name. I really find that stupid, because the saxes each get there own section, why can't I?
one time my band director was taking a tally of all the instruments in our band and he forgot to write down oboe >:[ ( i dont care that im the only one; i deserve recignition too! we only have on flute [0_o] and she got written down...)
we started out with about 7 i think it was and all but one of them quit! <seething look> those jerks! at least i play oboe and can double on most of the flute parts.
true true... but only one flute? in beginning band we had like 30... we had 56 clarinets in the beginning, then about 4 or 5 switched to sax(u have to start on clarinet to play saxophone at our school)
