I was told that this song is supposed to be hard. its very mediocre. I played the whole thing in one week. Could anyone please find me a piece of music which is actually difficult. Thanking you

It`s not because it is hard that it`s not good. La campanella is a beautyfull music I love it and it`s not easy you must have quite long fingers and large spread. Anyway if you want a hard one get the Third Mouvement of Moonlight sonata that on rocks. It is so beautyful and so hard lol. It is my favortie try it if you didnt yet. It is the Opus 27 n4 Quasi Una Fantasia

Try Chopin. Nocturne Opus 9 No.1 its very difficult, Probally due to the tremendous seperation in his brain. The hard part is the timming. Its in Bflat minor. And i am curious as to how that turns out if you play it. And i was under the impression the la campanella was four hand song? I`ve never tried to play it but i will now that you said its no hard enough and experience its ease for myself =). I love paganini Etudes SOOOO MUCH.

The Chopin Nocturne sounds absolutely beautiful.

IF that composition was easy for you, try Rachmaninoff`s third or fourth concerto....

well..Rach`s preludes are beautiful..but they arent exactly that hard..you should try his first sonata..now THAT is hard..and for liszt..La Campanella is a nice piece..but u should try his b minor sonata or any of his transcendental etudes..especially no 5 in B Flat...these definetely arent the hardest piano pieces but they still are pretty damn hard..

WHAT?! too easy? that is regarded as one of the most difficult piece in history, there is no way a person can learn that in a week. you either are lying are not playing it correctly. when the tenor melody requires a double-tap of the thumb it takes someone almost a month to learn that technique ALONE, there is no other song in the world that uses that technique so there is no way you can possibly play it perfectly in a week

yes butter i agree with you that la campanella is not an easy piece at all...and that it does take a good amount of time for someone to acquire the certain technique...BUT...when you are referring to the "double thumb tap"..u are referring, to what most pianists consider, the hardest variation of the first theme. I do not recommend using a double thumb tap anyway...u should use fingering...2 1 5..all the way through..or even a 3 1 5 at times...but i dont think u should repeat the thumb twice..and i am pretty sure this tecnique is used in other pieces..not tryin to show u up or n e thing...i just dont agree with a few things..

i`ve been trying for months with the double thumb technique with no success, i think you might be right about the 2 1 5 technique. I have really large fingers and really big hands so i feel much more comfortable with maybe a 2 1 4, still is going to take awhile to learn seeing how its totally different than what i was TRYING to do.... i wonder if that is even possible

lucky you...i dont have big hands...they aint small either..but i could only reach a 10th by stretching hard...one of my friends...tony madruga..is a child prodigy..and he`s learning that piece..for that part...his piano teacher told him to use 2 1 5..but since u have big hands im guessin whatever floats ur boat u should use..

harder? you could do something REALLY famous - because that`s always hard because everyone knows the piece - how it goes...

ravel, prokofiev & rachmaninov are always hard.
