Hi everyone. My name is Zachary, and I am new to the forum here. The reason I joined is because I am trying to identify this trombone that was given to me when I was in 6th grade (15+ years ago) by my Aunt and Uncle. I believe it is a 60H, but I am not sure. Any help would be appreciated. I am looking to sell it to a good home, as it wont be used here, and was wondering what the value might be, and perhaps some history behind it. The marking looks like "60H" and the number on it says "N16889"

Pictures are in the links below:

Thanks in advance!

Zach

Zach:

That's a nice gift!

It looks like a 60H, if you see that stamped, then that's probably what it is. This configuration was also in a 72H I believe as a large bore tenor, probably .547 bore, but if it s a 60, then it is a bass with a bore of .562. I have the 62H which has the second rotor to E (or D or C). The F valve tubing is identical.

How wide is the bell? Mine is 9.5" and if your matches, then it's definitely a bass.

Mine was a gift aw well, from my dad when I was 16 – 39 years ago <g>
