Yes. We`ve sold just one, a Gems 2. it was the most gorgeous sound, just like a cello, and the teacher (at a renowned English conservatoire) said she had played violas worth several thousand pounds that did not sound any better. The 17.5 inch viola is wide and deep and casing it could be a problem!

Gliga w/o certificate    09:40 on Wednesday, May 05, 2004 Vote for this post Vote against this post 0 votes

A local guy has a Gliga 4/4 violin for sale at a good price but it does not have the Gliga authenticity certificate. Does anyone know if Gliga can reproduce the certificate based on serial number or other identifying marks on the violin? Or should I avoid this one altogether?

Thanks

Hi Nathan,

Only the Gliga Maestro has the certificate. I don`t know whether Gliga could do another certificate or not. There`s no serial number inside the violin so it would only be possible if the seller has the original stock number.

I have bought two fractional size Gems 1 violins. They are very nice, particularly for the price paid. Teachers have nothing but compliments for the violins. I have also bought a 1/8th size Gems 2 cello. The teacher raves about the quality and sound and was amazed at the price.

Service over the internet has also been very good.

Liz,

It is a Maestro, with one-piece back. We`re going today to play it. I`ll ask him about the original stock number.

Thanks
