I'm hoping someone could please help me with determining an acceptable price to sell this viola along with it's case and bow for. It is a Leon Aubert Stradivarius model at 16". It has been in use for only 2-3 years and has a few nicks and scratches, other than that there are no issues with it. I'm not entirely certain what the bow is, but its wood and still full usable. If it is any help it says M. Thoma Germany above the frog. I know nothing of the value of cases, but it seems to be moderately professional looking. Altogether, I purchased the viola, bow and case for $1500. Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

Near where I live, because of high unemployment, people are currently selling anything they don't use alot. That means all these student model orchestra instruments are selling for cheap. I've seen violins and violas in this range go for under $300, many times under $150. If you really have to sell now, don't expect much...hopefully the market is better near you!

Thanks so much for responding so quickly, but yes I do need to sell it now. Hopefully, the fact that I live in a wealthy county will help the prices. Either way what would you propose I sell the viola, case and bow for?
