When i was playing my viola the C string went really soggy, and when i tred to tighten it with the peg it wouldnt work. Do i need professional help or can i fix it, and can i still play the viola without toughing the C string?

its not good to try to fix an instrument by urself when ur a beginner. ask ur music teacher or private teacher to fix it for you. if u dont take lessons or dont have a teacher, i think u should get it done professionally or w.e. u call it

good luck!

I don`t understand from your description what the problem is. Do you mean the peg won`t turn, or is it that when the peg does turn nothing happens?
