Hello,
I recently bought a cello that wasn't set up, so I watched a video on youtube on how to set the bridge and then tune the instrument. However my bridge(I think it's french) wasn't measured. So I just put the strings randomly on the bridge and tried to evenly space them out. However now that i'm playing I'm noticing a wrong intonation for the same finger position, even when the open strings are correctly tuned. And so I think it's the bridge's fault.
Can anyone please help me on this ? I'm not a beginner musician I play the piano, the guitar, and the recorder. It's been really frustrating when trying to play on my cello and get my intonations wrong.
If anyone can tell me the measures of the bridge so I can fix it or can recommend me any ideas I'd be really grateful!
Thanks in advance to anyone who's taking the time to read my thread and trying to help me!
