In more than half of the supposedly amazing guitar solo's what most guitarists must realize before they go and buy the music to be disappointed is that, more than half of the guitar is overlay. If you don't believe me go listen to mp3 downloads and you will find out for yourself. The biggest example of this factor is "Dragonforce," while they are playing quite difficult music don't get to over excited about this solo because it is not in truth of the word a guitar solo.
Another one of my favorite songs that is an example of this is "Hotel California"
