Has anyone mentioned as a favourite piece - Balakirev`s transcription of Glinka`s Lark? I think it`s beautiful and wonderful, even though Balakirev isn`t my favourite composer.

Another favourite work by my favourite composer : Piano Concerto no. 3 by Rachmaninov. I know that isn`t very original but you`ve got to love it - it`s perfect, wonderful, it touches you. It`s everything - that`s how you feel when you hear it.

Aljosa Jurinic, don`t you have to go to school?? lol
To the person who liked Sibelius - I love his violin concerto.
Anyway....
My favourite composer is Grieg. I love his piano concerto it`s just filled with beautiful melodies (especially 3rd movement)

i would have to say at the moment...the whole rachmaninov piano concerto no.2...ive been obsessed with it for 4 months now..the third concerto is nice..but i dont find it as complete and structured of a piece as the second concerto and he kinda reused a few ideas..but thats just me...i like too many pieces..but a few are medelssohn`s f sharp minor venetian boat song..chopin`s brillante e flat major polonaise..his f minor piano concerto..his etude no.11 op.25...because there are many hidden yet detail things in that piece...and i also like prokofiev`s toccata and his famous a minor sonata

well..it isnt an easy piece...im one of those idiots who starts learning a piece and decides to not finish it and jump to a next one...i played many of the hard parts though. for example..you need to work on those left hand jumps at the f sharp major section especially if u take that a tad bit fast...watch the repeating c sharp before that section..thought that isnt the melody you should still keep it consistant..and the famous coda should be worked on slowly and in different rhythm patterns..just generic advice i felt like blurting out
