i discovered today that a line of china i thought was really good is actually extremely easy to break, so i need some advice on a fairly cheap china that is going to last me more than a month or two.

<Added>

btw the china was a 12" wuhan, i am also i fairly hard hitting metal player, so that would probly effect how long the cymbal lasts

I dunno about "good" prices, but I would say to just go with something good; zildjian, sabian, paiste, etc. The price is worth it if it's good enough and if the price isn't too huge.

Wuhans have the best china sound in my opinion. Ive had my 12" for a year and it hasnt broken. I hit it pretty hard too. but you can get like a Paiste 18" for like $72 i think.

cool, ill look into the paiste, but i thought the 12" wuhan was really nice, i had it for a few years, and i just used it for accents, but it started cracking like crazy when i began using it a lot more, like most metal drummers do, so if you hit hard, you might wanna stay away from that style of playing with your wuhan.

Why spend 72 bucks on substandard sounding china when you can get good china sound with a wuhan and have to spend the 15 bucks every couple of years cause it cracks

Hi! I highly recommend to you to get a support specially made for china cymbals. I think it was made by mapex. It basically consists of a spring that goes attached to you cymbal stand. It is so great that I have had it for almost 5 years and I haven't broken any of my chinas.

well, i have problems with my sticks a lot too, twice now ive broken a stick the day i got them, well, i guess broken isnt the correct word, more crakced, but the first time i shattered it, and it was a regal tip (this could be why i only play vic firth now....) but i dont know how this would match up with your scale of how long they last for games, my school uses the pep band for both football and basketball games, we dont really have a marching band (concert band just preforms for the parades) and i dont tend to play as hard for that since its just a simple rock beat a lot of the time. and this is a really long post.......
