I really love the sax it really kicksome but i don`t like the idea of grades. It dosen`t really give much room for improvisation, i think its better to learn styles and improvise with everything. Plus it`s better to prove yourself through the things you know rather than the things you`ve been taught.

Yeah, but you can`t teach yourself everything, can you? You need to learn the basics first. I taught myself piano but I learnt clarinet for four years first so I already knew a bit about music before.
