Hi everyone !
For the last months, I've been using a Selmer Super Action 80 alto saxophone but, since it's my uncle's, I can't bring it to school. So for entering my school's big band next year, I'll have to buy one. I looked at used saxophones and according to my budget, the saxes that seemed to be fairly good are the YAS-23, YAS-275 and the YAS-52. Still, I can't decide on wich one to choose, so I'd appreciate to have feedbacks on those.
Thanks for your answers,

Thomas

(Ah, by the way, I'm sorry if I made some grammar mistakes, English isn't my first language..)

Those Yamaha YAS Series are usually a good choice for students. As long as they have good pads that are well seated, plays in tune, and has no dents, no accidental misalignments. Your next main concern should be the mouthpiece and reed.

It probably won't play like the selmer but will be sufficient to continue your playing.

Since you will start out by just trying to get an even tone, primarily with long tones, I would suggest a #2 or 2.5 reed. You may try your local store for a mouthpiece
that will enable you to get a sound and help to develop an embochure.
