Any of you sopranos out there have any tips for me? I love to sing POTO songs, but I can`t hit some of the high notes in the title song at the end. I mean, I can hit them, but they sound strained. Any advice?

take care of your voice. Also, to hit the high notes, open your throat and your mouth wide. Take your three fingers (pointer, middle and ring) and stick them in your mouth vertically, that`s how wide your mouth should be. Use your diaphram to push out the notes and take big breaths, use the air to push the notes. Breath and push with your diaphram(your stomach) not your chest. Also, don`t hold back. To hit a high note, just punch it. Belt it as hard as you can, and stay away from caffeine and sugar. It`s bad for your voice. My director bans pop from musical and choir rehearsals and practices. Drink a ton of water or tea or water with lemon juice.

cant stress enouph "take care of your voice"! trust in the words of the choir dorector when he says it its the word of god! take it as the cread! dont fallo amichers who think they know things, experiance does come in handy of corce in oklahoma keira and i had a bunch of caffen and pixy stiks... we were on a shuger high if will, the energy was good for the praformance but painfull on the voice. alittle science here if you go back to maliquals... suger maliquals are square and it scratches the vocal-cords... there for coming out with a horis sound.
and it was bad for the show as well! and we do consider our choir teacher as god, our choir is a family, we take care of each other and rehers songs like theres no 2mmaro! we are just musical freeks if keira agrees. luv u keira.

I am not a singer. But I do like to sing along in the privacy of my home or car. I have to agree with many of you...I LOVE this play. Especially Point Of No Return. I have been obsessing over that song for the past few weeks. :P Partly because I like the way Gerald Butler looks during a clip of that song (from the movie). I just wish he had a better voice.

The music is amazing - Think of Me, Angel of Music, Past the Point of No Return - I love to sing it. What type of singer would Christine be classified as(sorry I never took lessons)? I just wish my school would perform it as a play or something. Wveryime my (little) sisters anoy me I blare out the long high Christine sings in that one song and they stop, its my one bit of control. DOES ANYONE HAVE THE VIOLIN, PIANO OR VOICE MUSIC FOR ANY OF THE POTO SONGS PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
