Sorry if this seems like a spammy or wasteful forum post.

I often like to play the guitar and like many people like to sing along privately. My voice to me sounds pretty bad but I was wondering what everyone else thought. Is it ok? is it terrible?

Someone wants me to send them a song but I cant out of embarrassment. Just let me know honestly so I don't make an idiot of myself!

Thanks,

Hi, maybe a bit shy, my advice is to be more confident. Most important is that, you stayed in tune.

(If you are self-aware and confirmed in your singing style, then miss the next part)
About technique: I think you should aid yourself by using more air and relaxing your throat in order to achieve better resonance and tone.

Best wishes,
Otto

Thankyou for the feedback.

Yeah, my parents were home when I recorded and I get embarrassed when people here me sing so I sang a little to quietly.

Again, much appreciated, il try and practise a little when people are out.

Your singing voice is ok. It's not the best voice in the world but it's better than mine and many people i know.

yeh more confidence and practice and u could be great. ur a bit shaky and pitchy now, but the tone and range is there u just need to work it and you could be a top singer, in that folky jose gonzalez style.

Hi Optimuspud,

I agree with most of the posters here, it's your confidence that needs a boost. However, The song you are singing is not a very strong song to see what you are really capable of. So can you do another song, so we can see what is your range. I'm a Vocal Coach and I would love to you if you don't mind.

Peace & Blessings
Tanesha
