I love music in all forms but i have recently been interested in composing music when one of my friends showed me some of the stuff he had done. But i cant think about anything to write about(for lyrics) or any simple melody that makes sense to me. i've tried fooling around on piano yet im still lost for ideas. any hints or tips how to get inspired? Also, how do you write music for a rock band? Any help will be greatly appreciated

inspiration is something that happens when you come apon something that strikes you a certian way, and affects you emotionally or physically somehow. just hold on, you'll be inspired sometime.

Yes, thank you very very much Triforce. after readin ur little poem, i thought about it for a bit then later when i was going thru my old emails, i read one of them and started writing a song and i started 4 in the days to follow so thank you very much Mayb i will finish them on put them up on here soon. be sure to look out for it.

I'm going well... but the songs still need lots of development. some of them are only 2 lines long. i like to write poetry too. i wrote a poem for my best friend for her birthday then framed it with a collage of photos i'd collected. she got a bit teary when i gave it to her. i should work on those songs so i can post them up on here. hows it going for you?
