Please help. I have an inherited double french horn that I am trying to identify. I can't find a trademark, brand or serial on it anywhere. Here's what I know:

The horn is a Kruspe wrap double, with all four valves inline and evenly spaced. But unlike all the Kruspe horn pictures I've seen on the web or even remember, this one has the shorter Bb slides on the top (audience side) rather than the longer F ones.

My late father picked this horn up in the mid 1980's from an aging small-town brass instrument repairman. I know it was used and refurbished, so maybe from the 1960s or 70s? (Dad was a professional horn player, but never used this one -- "not good enough". His other two were better than this.)

What make is this? If you can't identify it, where should I look for a maker mark, model, or serial number? I don't see anything on the lead pipe, the bell or on the valve bodies.

Thanks again, Doug

Oh yes, I forgot to mention -- yellow brass, lacquered.
