Hi guys, I'm planning to try out for the orchestra part of a musical. The musical is Rogers and Hammerstiens Cinderella. My problem is that I don't know how hard the music is. And what instruments are used the most. I could try out with my oboe, flute, or clarinet, but I'm not sure which one is needed more. Has anyone done this musical before? I know I will find out which one is needed the most at the try-outs, but they're not till January. And I kinda want to know so I can decide one which instrument I should practice harder on. Sorry, if I've totally confused you! (^: The orchestra has 2 trumpets 1 flute 1 clarinet and 2 strings. They don't have any oboe's but does this musical use the oboe? Again, I'm sorry if this doesn't make any sense.

I played the flute in the pit orchestra, which was a really good choice for me. It's really flute-heavy. Oboe would be nice too. The music is quite easy, but there's a fair amount of it.

It's a fun show! Best of luck at your audition!
