Don’t you love how everyone can’t help but sing and dance when one of Lady Gaga’s songs comes on?? Totally crazy right? Just text, “GAGA” to 30303 for her new ringtone, and then whenever your phone rings you can watch the people around you dance. Ahahaha. It’s so funny.

Horrible roll model?
Hmmm, I thought she was a good roll model. I say she's good because she worked hard, and didn't go places just because she was told to go there. I liked that she was working and then felt a need to do some things herself. I feel she has been true to her self and she has taken styles like Glam and early rock and roll, and married them together into a modern pop style.

She did use drugs for a few months (which is not good role model stuff) but I believe it was only for a small period of time and I believe she is past that some time ago.

I am interested in your opinions of her not being a good role model.

Perhaps I spoke to soon. Mostly I just don't like the things some of her songs imply. For example : "I kissed a girl and I liked it"
I don't have anything against people who seriously have those kinds of feelings, but a joke, nevertheless a joke that encourages that kind of behavior, does not go over well with me.
There are other instances, but I won't bore everyone with them.

really? I thought Lady Gaga did a rendition of the song?...
I guess it proves that I don't listen to pop very much. My Ipod is full of mostly classical.

To Flute-n-bassoon,

I see where you are coming from. Although you might be incorrect about the one Kate Perry song, your point about lyrics is a fair presentation. I will agrre with you that many of the lyrics may not be appropriate for younger listeners. And I will also stipulate that many people might not appreciate some of the lyrics.

From an Art perspective as an adult and someone who has been where she has been I find her successful and true to the art form; and a good r ole model for her particular art form. She is a gifted musician/artist and from that point I see her as a good role model by taking her life and laying it out in the art forum.

Also however, your point is appreciated and it makes good sense; especially for the younger and the less matured. I'm glad you brought it up. You are correct that she is not a good role model for everyone.
