pearl jam is far better due to their amazing lyrics, and contribution to social justice, fighting ticket master ect. there rebelion against music videos and insane live performances where they play over 40 songs.

yo dumdeedumdum you`ve got a f**kin good point there man.
but dont you think the chillies would win hands down any way, just cause they`ve managed to evolve thier way through almost over 20 yrs of music history starting from being a plain old american funk band to the legends they are now with constantly changin yet unique and instantly recognisabe style of music. whilst pearl jam for some reason seem to make every thing sound exactly the same as the first album.

Pearl Jam repeated the same sound on every album??? What utter bullsh*t that is. You have obviously never heard any of Pearl Jam. Each album has a new sound to it. Come on man, you have no idea what you`re talking about. Ten was grunge. Vs. was more hard rock oriented, with a few ballads, and acoustic songs. Vitalogy was very different from the first two, more ballads, and a few "weird" tracks thrown in. No Code had a lot of Eastern world themes thrown in. Yield was hard rock. Binaural was hard rock, and eastern influenced. Riot Act was somewhat folk, and somewhat hardrock. Please, saying Pearl Jam repeated one sound is very very very very very very very ignorant.
With all that said, I am a big fan of the Chili Peppers as well . I love their music, and own 5 of their albums. Pearl Jam is just a greater band.
