Hey, psonally i think most modern music is crap exept slipknot and korn, oldschool is so much better, i hate it when modern rock uses metophors , theres no meaning. they just want there fans to discuss what the song is really about when really there is no meaning of the song, the words just sound cool

Actually, modern rock went down the tubes with the advent of Korn, Slipnot, Limp Biscuit, Linkin Park, System of Down...anything considered Nu-Metal. Last stuff that was actually good that would be considered modern was thrash, stoner/doom, grunge.

There is plenty of good music out there. You just need to weed through. Derek Trucks Band is still playing, is is Santana. There is no new good talent that is in the spotlight as of now.
Fuck ya old school is actual music. you had to think about the music and really get into it. now every song sounds the same. i like nickelback but thats about it. Fuck Led Zeppelin and Pink Floyd are by far the greatest bands ever.
Yes, classic rock is good. I like a bit of blues in my rock, and there are plenty of good old blue's players out there still. Buddy Guy, BB King, Clapton, SRV, Otis Rush, they are all still playing. I mean sure some the music is gone, Duane, Jerry, and Jimi are dead. I agree that the majority of popular music today is below the 60's par, but some stuff is pretty good.
