Beethoven and others classical/romantic composers would write Minuets to be followed immediately by a Trio, which is then followed by a recapitulation of the minuet. In this case, the "Trio" means that there are 3 separate voices playing; in the original orchestral minuet, every instrument in the orchestra would be playing the part of one of these three voices. It just means that you'll be playing 3 separate lines at once on the piano, nothing more.
