Pachabell's Canon is the all-time favourite wedding song for brides and violinists. Meanwhile, most cellists get bored out of their brains playing those 8 notes over and over at a gig.
I made this cello quartet arrangement for my high school students, whose love of the tune has not yet worn off. Parts 3 & 4 alternate between the bass line and tune so no performer has opportunity to get bored. An additional 'melody-only' line has been included should anybody wish to play the piece as a solo.
This piece has been transposed from the original key to G Major so that it is more comfortable to play on the cello.
