As far as computer games go, I like military strategy games such as Command and Conquer and Age of Empires. Portals is also a pretty fun game. I'm not much for hardcore shooters, though.

as you can see on my profile, (i think) i have been playing clarinet for about 5 years, but in the time between i've varied in enthusiasm, like at the moment i'm starting to play properly again and am having great fun! but about a year or so ago i got a bit bored and played maybe twice a week at home, twice at school. I've been playing tenor sax for about 1 1/2 years and i think i'm doing grade 6 next year and i could probably do grade 6/7 clarinet to, after some more practice..
ONE WEEK LEFT!! where do you live? in australia we've got one more week left of school then 8 weeks of holi's YES!!
anyway, so much for a short message, lol, maybe we sould just start a thread..

soz, i'm going over the 1,000 character limit thingy...

my strengths in music are...
my ability to kick ass, well it can get musical.
uhh, my ability to play well, improvise and still make it sound good and being able to find the beat and stay in time with a simple ease. LOL, sometimes, then again i have those periods (i think they are synchronized with the full moon somehow..) when i can't, to be blunt, 'play for !***!.'
i can play just about any song that i've heard, if you give me 10 min's or so to work it out (allowing a few mistakes) and i can usually do it with most instruments that i roughly know the fingering for, like guitar, or wind instruments (excluding trumpet etc.)
and there are probably a few other hidden talents i have that are locked up in my body just waiting to bust out (like the monster thing i 'Alien'.

maybe continued, i'll see how i go.

The windows in my room are starting to show the strain, my daily practices are taking their toll on all the local glass infrastructures, there is this really cool house down the road and about half of it is glass...they might have to replace it with some reinforced cast-iron soundproof barriers or something, hear about my practicing lately?

anyway, back to music...
HOLY COW, how do you fit everything in??? i can barely fit in my clarinet practice, (every day)
sax prac (every so-often),
band/theory practices, (tues morning, wed afternoon, thurs afternoon, fri afternoon)
Homework (every day, for hours...and hours...and hours...and-wait, now i'm starting to exaggerate)
Co-curricular projects (when i feel like it....or 10 mins before they're due.)
Stuff, like 8notes...
and reading, which i love to do.
and most of it i don't fit in, and you play, 1...2...3.....5,000 instruments??? wow, i need some time management lessons.

But what's this!! Has the Phil-Mc$7,000_VITOx4 convinced you of his kind intentions? I admit, some of his snide, selfish comments can actually get quite witty and funny but.... there is a certain taint of <insert cheese name here> around him. Leading to my suspicions that he regularly deals in vulgar and underhand behavior (practicing his instruments).

I'm doing great. Thanks for writing back so fast! I'm am truly reformed. Lately, I'm not the one everyone hates. It seems to be this guy JimMillin over on the flute forum. He is very nice but people are treating him terribly.

I have a strong suspicion that about ten people on the flute forum are actually just one person with many accounts. It's terrible that they allow them to do that. With the new voting option that person is using all of those accounts to get our posts minimized.

8notes is pretty cool! really fun + got lotsa tips and such, At the moment I'm taking sax lessons, been playing for about a year 1/2 and I'm doing grade 6 next year but i've been playing clarinet for about 5 years, thats why i haven't needed much sax practice to get good.
At the moment i'm on the Tenor sax, (an old Selmer Mark 6 from New Orleans) and i have an Alto thats pretty good as well but i don't use it as much.
Just got a really cool clarinet (Buffet RC) and i'm starting to do clarinet lessons as well as sax lessons soon.
I hope i haven't done an information overload.
Hows strings? do you have to play forever to get good? i think it'd be pretty hard to play a cello, but i guess practice makes perfect and all that.
I want to play just about everything it'd be pretty cool to be able to pick up some random instrument and have a jam.
