I'm a "comeback" trumpet player after not having played for 35 years.I used to play a Bach Strad 180-72S.Now I play a Giardinelli GTR 812S Pro Series trumpet.The Giardinelli has a dark,rich and VERY WARM tone.It's easier to play in the upper register with this horn.This is a very HEAVY horn with a very focused tone.It projects very well.The valve action is superbly light and fast.I also used to play a Martin Imperial.Because of the gorgeous tone and how well this horn performs I would select it over horns I have tried that cost twice as much.My favorite horn players,in no particular order,are:Blue Mitchell,Chet Baker,Clifford Brown,Lee Morgan and Louis Armstrong.Love to you all.
