We get a lot of requests for Delta Goodrem. The track 'Not Me, Not I' features a nice piano introduction which we'll have a look at here.
We'll start by looking at the chord progression used in the introduction, which is the same
one used in the song's chorus. It's in E minor/G major, and uses a D# dminished chord to
return to the E minor start:
Give those chords a bit of a ripple, and you're half way to the full Goodrem sound:
(Tip: Try playing G and F sharp just before each chord change to sound really like the original)
For the verse, the main chord pattern is similar, this time using a B major chord to return to the E minor.
Interestingly, Delta's other big hit 'Lost Without You' features a very similar chord progression in the chorus:
