hey i`m looking for a new flute becayse th one i have now is WAY to much money.lol.i`m leaning to a silver plated Venus flute w/gold keys and mouth plate.has anyone tried this brand?if u do please tell me what u think.

Do not, I repeat, do not get a venus flute. The brand is unreliable. I tried playing a piccolo of theirs and I could not get one sound out of it. Try a Gemeinhardt, Emerson, or Armstrong. You can look these up at www.wwbw.com for prices.

i just got a rose gold one and i like it. it is better in some ways than my yamaha 385II. i have played off and on for 31 years. i think gemeinhardt is best. but i also bought a gold plated venus. i will give it a try. the best flute i ever ever ever had was a 40.00 concert flute from karenpap on ebay but she closed shop without reason. the concert flute was of poor material but it really did have the warmest tones i ever had on a flute. who would believe that???? i sold that flute to a little girl beginner. isn`t she lucky????

i don`t think the brand is unreliable. the piccolo is very hard to play. i can`t play it. i should be able to, but you need a tight tight lip.

i have a venus and it is the most beautiful one i ever had--rose brass.

a repairman said he hated yamaha.

PLEASE DO NOT GET THOSE!! THEY ARE CHEAP EBAY FLUTES!! I would recommend Jean Baptiste at Sam Ash music store! It lead me to Advanced band 1st chair in 1 month. Other brands are Armstrong, Gemeinhardt, and Yamaha. But those tendo to be more expensive. You can get the Jean Baptiste at Sam Ash for 259 dollars. Most people say its the worst flute ever, but it actually plays BETTER THAN MY OLD ARMSTRONG!
