Is there a working subcontrabass sax in existinse?

a bit late, but yes there is. Look up benedikt eppelsheim. He has produced a few of them (one of which I have had the pleasure of playing). The man is an accoustical genius. He calls it a Subcontrabass Tubax, but it`s played exactly like a normal saxophone.
