I just got 2 new reeds,a size 2 1/2 and 3. I can hardly make a clear sound out of the 3, but the 2 1/2 sounds good except for when i play higher then the second B flat. Then it gets kinda airy and i have to blow hard for the notes to sound good. Should i just stick with a size 2 (like i usually use) or am i just getting used to the new reeds and they will sound better with practice?

hey um i play clarinet too, if thats what ure talking about. but i suggest that u use the 2 1/2 for a lil while and make sure your reed isnt too high or low (if its airy then its prolly lo). if that doesnt work then go back to 2. good luck!
