Promoted to the sinor band was easyer than i thought. I only had to pratice every hour, For a month. In less than two months I was in the sinor band. I admit the sinor band plays better and takes more pratice. A girl named kelly plays the flute too and she is so good i want her to just trade places, but she is graduating this year and it is hard for me to keep up with her. Next year im the only flute. Also I have to play in graduation and i have a solo part im so scared to mess up can anyone help me? I pratice for 2:10pm to 9:00 pm with the acception of supper and the bathroom. Should I pratice harder and longer? What should I do to become As good as she is?

The only thing that matters is the sound. Pratice slurring "F-Eb-D-C-Bb-C-D-Eb-F" twice in whole notes, half, quarter, whatever! You`ll make it!!!!!!!!!!!!

im n the 7th grade too and im n the top band at my school. wut i do is pratice [I]at least[/I] 5 hours a week. it may sound hard but thats the only way your going to move ahead. hope this helps

i play the flute but for band i play the oboe and in our school you take a test at the end of the year to see if next year you will be in 7th or 8th grade band(im going into the 7th grade)i made the 8th grade band 1st chair(only because the 8th grader sucks)and all that i did is pratice the stuff that i need to work on like sluring and the high notes( or for you maybe the low notes) all that you need to do is work at it
