Ive just started my alto sax lessons and am on the hunt for an alto saxophone. Does anyone know of brands i should be looking for or brands i should avoid.

Get a Yamaha or a Selmer. Don`t get a Jupiter, an Amati, a barrington, or BandNow unless you want to play for a year and then give up. Sign up for the Woodwind catalog at www.wwbw.com.
