Ok, my friend and I have been wondering if anyone out there has any knowledge about 3-trigger trombones??? My friend saw someone at a state band audition playing on a trombone that literally had 3 independent triggers; according to him, the guy never moved the slide once but was able to play a scale just using the triggers by themselves and by combinations of the 3. If anyone knows of a website or has any info on a trombone like that, please tell me. It`s driving us nuts!!!!! We can`t find any info on the net on this kind of trombone!

Does`t that get a bit too much like a trumpet? The tromone`s unique feature is the slide.

My own thoughts aside, you can get valve trombones which look like a trumpet`s been stuck on the slide. I doubt that`s what you`re looking for but I hope it helps
