I am interested in obtaining a recorder for my personnal enjoyment and have the following questions. Any anwsers would be appreciated.
1. Can any key be played by a single recorder or is it necessary to purchase a particular key?
2. Can a recorder be tuned to match another instrument (assuming the correct key)?
3. Are hardwood recorders available or are they plastic only?
4. Can different octaves be played on a single recorder?
Thanks! Wayne.

Answers to your questions...
1. Yes. You can play all keys with one recorder.
2. Not so well, but sometimes you may be able to make the tone a bit lower by "making the recorder longer."
3. There are many wooden recorders, but they are more expensive than the plastic ones.
4. Yes. You can play about 2 octaves...
