I`m an ongoing freshmen into high school and I was overly enthusiastic about being in High school band. I play trumpet, I jsut switched back from french horn, but I got all my skill still. But anyways, to the actual reason I`m here. I need help or something...I`m not sure what I need actually. You see, I just received the music that were expected to play and...WOW! Not only is it so crazy small I can`t hardly see the notes, it`s also freakishly hard. And to top it all off I have band camp at kelly`s island in a week! Somebody help!

First off, if you can`t read the music `cause it`s small, go to the library, use a copy machine and enlarge it! Use that to practice on. And that`s the second step, practice it. Do the best that you can to become familiar with all the music you have. Don`t practice measure by measure so that you can play some of it perfect and the rest sucks ass. Do the best you can with ALL of it. Step 3, DON`T WORRY. When I was a freshman in high school joining band (I`m a soph in college now) I was nervous, but when I got there, I realized that they don`t bite yer ass off if you can`t play everything perfectly. And don`t expect the upperclassmen to be leaps and bounds ahead of you. There`s people of all skill levels in a high school band, and it`s no big deal. Don`t sweat it.
Hope that helps.
