I`ve been playing the Clarinet for about a year and I am still struggling with the tonguing techniques. My teacher says that the reason for this is that a small bit of air comes out from a gap between my lips when I blow into it.
I tried the Oboe and at first I couldn`t hear anything but a little bit of air trying to come out. But surpringly on my 2nd attempt I could play the top 3 keys!
My teacher (clarinet) said it was excellent because she struggled when she switched from the clarinet to the Oboe. So, do you think it`s good for me to switch to the Oboe permanently?
