Well, as I haven`t been really kept up to date because I moved and haven`t had the chance to get Internet installed since now. I had some threads to read and I realised people seem to be requesting a lot and, for one thing, I am very disappointed in seeing that nobody shares.

As for my first try (15 people), it has failed because someone has shared it in the same time with me and, well, it confuses a lot. So, I have tried another way. In the first 12 pages of this forum, I have sent May it be and Concerning Hobbits to people with yahooo e-mails or other (hotmail not inclued since I have had problems with it). I have INSISTED for them to share.

Now, because I moved, I cannot e-mail Many Meetings yet. And from my newly bought TTT sheet music book, I cannot share it because I have to install my scanner.

Little tip: People, if you want something, find a song (May it Be is the easiest) and then try trading it. You will get better results than posting requests on a 16 pages long forum.

And as for Jesse, from what I know, it is against the copyright to make websites of sheet music which aren`t totally old (old by when it has been composed/made). Unless, of course, if you get the approval of the copyright. Without it, your website will be closed. Sorry to disappoint you but that what I know.

Another thing, I will only start sharing one of the TTT sheet music when some sharing will be done. Little advice `til there, go to your nearest sheet music store and buy the sheet music book for 30$ (CA) or 15$ (USA). That`s what I did and it`s much better.

Look, Jimbo, I agree with you but you know what? You are not absolutly right. Most of the people (I think) have already searched. I myself have posted a request in a couple of pages ago. The thing you should really question, not the lazyness of people but actually their results. Some people said they were searching for months and hours and crap like that. Well, that is definitly not true, or else they don`t know how to search the Internet. I mean, if you know were to go (forums are very good), you can get results in a couple of days. I had results in only 2 week-ends.

How did I do it? Easy, mostly forums are good. Sometimes some people are very generous (like you) and post websites where you can find LOTR free sheet music. Well, the trick is to get one of those websites and then find the sheet music (Enya - May it Be is the easiest since it was published a couple of years ago). Then, all you have to do is trying to find people who have other sheet music (forums are recommended).

In other words, trade music sheets. It`s as simple as that. Trust me, it works better and you get lots of sheet music. Hope this helped because it`s depressing seeing a forum of 17 pages full of requests (probably 99%) and only a couple of people [were] sharing (maybe 4 including myself). Ouch!

I agree very much with Daniela. Altho I do say everywhere that I look I can`t seem to get the right results. you can try www.google.com but things (like that) don`t always work It takes so long, and if it does work there are hundreds of search engines or websites that you have to get to b4 geeting the right one!!!!!!

Daniela,
I now understand that your brother has all of your music; can`t he just e-mail you all them and then you can send it to the people who have been waiting??? (for who knows how long!!!!!) Not trying to be rude; my piaon recital is in a few eeks and I would REALLY REALLY like to have it!!!!!! THanx a bunch!!!

I`ve written out a medley of stuff from LOTR (fellowship) for french horn, though it could be rearranged for just about any other instrument. if interested, email me at SmaugFireElf03@aol.com

Giving away Concerning Hobbits    13:46 on Tuesday, April 29, 2003

Stephanie was kind enough to send me Concerning Hobbits, so I will send it to anyone who emails me. (Don`t reply here--email me.) It is just the one-note melody for piano, so if you know someone talented they might be able to score the harmony for you (and if anyone has done this, let me know--I`d like to have it). There are snippets of Concerning Hobbits in Many Meetings and in In Dreams to give you an idea what it would sound like.

I bought the songbook for FOTR at www.buy.com for only $11.81 with free shipping (I think the free shipping is for a limited time). That`s the cheapest I`ve found it anywhere. Sorry, I don`t have a scanner, so I can`t offer to share any of the songs. (Concerning Hobbits is not in the songbook.)

And by the way, I have searched, but I guess I just don`t use the right search terms.

Diane

Daniela--was your Concerning Hobbits just one note or both left and right hands?    14:29 on Tuesday, April 29, 2003

I`m just wondering because the one I`m offering is just the melody (one note). I think the one I have came originally from you, but I`m not sure. If you do have the whole thing for both hands, would you let me know? Thanks.

Diane
