I have a Stainer violin that I got recently from a private owner. It has the usual label Jacobus Stainer in Absam Prope Oenipontum 17 . But I can`t make out if there`s something written after 17 or not. I looked it up on internet and it definately is made sometime in the 1700s by the measurements and build. I would like to know the approximate value. If anyone has anything to say about this please let me know. Curious...
