Hi, I am totally new to playing of any of the musical instruments. I am interested in playing saxophone but no classes near by. Is it possible to learn using books or any other material ?

Yes, it is possible, but a little more difficult when learning independently compared to learning with a teacher. If you know anyone who plays saxophone try and get them to help you out, even if they`re not a qualified teacher. I`m sure there are some online instrumental lessons somewhere that I`ve seen (you can get anything on the internet these days!) but I can`t remember exactly where. I`ll have a look on Google for you and post back later. Also, if you post this in the saxophone forum, you`ll probably get a lot more replies.
