Hello good people. I`m a college student who loves to play piano. I`ve been playing piano for 4 years now. I`m infatuated with the music of Rachmaninov and Chopin. Now, I feel I’m ready for a challenge. I had a one question about Rachmaninov PC No.2 1st movement. How long should it take to finish this piece?

Thank you for your reply. I just don`t think that it`s going to take me forever to learn Rachmaninov PC2. I believe in my good technical skills and enthusiasm for Rachmaninoff`s music. Seriously, it`s not hard to play piano music. I think playing piano really depends on how much you understand the music and how much you appreciate it. <snip> It makes me really sad that I haven’t found anyone who really appreciates Rachmaninov’s music.

I love Rachmaninov`s music because it has been source of my inspiration to compose music. I would have never started composing if there was no Rachmaninov. I believe Rachmaninov had profound impact on my life and music. His 2nd piano concerto helped me to cope with my depression. I love his music because it is undoubtedly magnificent and elegant. I suggest you listen to Moment Musical Op.16 No.4 and Etude Op.33 No.7 They will give you a broad perspective on this magnificent composer of 20th century.
