how do i set up my new violin? where does the bridge go? not getting much volume.

? Isn`t the soundpost already set up properly for u when u got the violin? If yr bridge`s not crooked, chipped or anything, then I suggest that u leave it alone. Adjust yr bowing or rosin instead. Or simply change the strings for a better carrying power.
