depends is Sankyo a japanese flute or a chinese flute?
if it is a cheap chinese flute stay away they dont last nearly as long as other flutes and if they break many some repairers dont fix them.
the name sounds japanese though if so im not sure i known that japanese silver is good although just becouse a flute is japanese doesn`t mean it uses japanese silver.
this topic just requires some internet research also ask ur teacher.

My daughter plays flute (11th grade) and recently stepped up to a high end intermediate flute. She tried about a dozen models of flute, from the low end but spritely Jupiter, to the high end, 2nd hand professional SANKYO at around $5000. The SANKYO was too difficult because she was not ready for it, and we landed a Trevor James "masters" series model instead. We worked with a professional in the selection process, and my daughter is an excellent player. I think that is a very long winded way of saying - yes SANKYO flutes are considered good... at least by professionals.
