Just a thought for people buying flutes, Armstrong is a good (but pricey) brand that is for intermediate to pro players, but the Artleys are more affordable and sound good. My Artley has lasted 3 years of hard playing and it was probably ten years old to begin with and still sounds really good.

I agree. For someone wanting to buy a good but not too expensive flute go with an Artley. I have one too, and it`s been really good to me.

sorry this is a late reply, but i just had to put in my 2cents!
My atley is 12 years old and I have had it for 5 and have only had to repair it once!
THERE THE BEST+YAMAHA`S ARE OK TOO!
